Frequently asked questions
- What is Kağıt?
- Kağıt is a free, open-source pastebin for sharing text, code, and files through a short link. It runs on Cloudflare Workers and is self-hostable on your own domain.
- Is Kağıt free to use?
- Yes, Kağıt is completely free, with no account or sign-up required.
- How long are pastes stored?
- Pastes expire after 7 days by default. You can choose a shorter or longer expiration, up to 90 days, when you upload.
- Can I password-protect or encrypt a paste?
- Yes. You can add a password, and separately enable client-side encryption: the decryption key stays in the URL and is never sent to the server, so only people with the full link can read the content.
- What does "burn after read" do?
- It permanently deletes the paste right after its first successful read, so the link only works once.
- Can I use Kağıt from the command line or an API?
- Yes. Kağıt has a curl-friendly HTTP API and a packaged AI agent skill, so you can upload, fetch, and manage pastes from a terminal, a script, or a coding agent.
